The Seaboard GRAND and RISE transmit MIDI over USB. MIDI can be sent directly to music apps, including Seaboard 5D and GarageBand on an iPhone or iPad by using an Apple camera connector kit. Note: while NOISE standalone does not currently support connection via camera connection kits, you may connect via USB and load NOISE as a plugin within GarageBand.
You will need:
- Apple camera connector kit
- USB hub (powered)
Simply plug the Apple camera connector kit into your iPhone or iPad, and connect the USB hub to it. Use the USB cable provided with your Seaboard RISE or GRAND to connect the type B port on the Seaboard to any type A port on the powered USB hub.
