Some sounds in NOISE, Equator, and other instruments are monophonic, meaning that only one note can be played at time. Often these sounds have "Mono" or "Lead" in their name.

If you're using a polyphonic sound but are only able to play one note at a time with your Blocks, check to ensure that "Glide Lock Enable" is turned off in ROLI Dashboard or with your Touch Block. Glide Lock Enable – also called portamento – makes notes automatically glide from one to the next but also sets Blocks to play monophonically, only one note at a time.

Touch Block with Glide Lock Enable turned on.
This makes an attached Lightpad or Seaboard Block glide smoothly from one note to the next but only allows you to play one note at a time.

To play multiple notes simultaneously, turn Glide Lock Enable off:

This allows you to play multiple simultaneous notes on an attached Lightpad or Seaboard Block.
