Cypher2 and Strobe2 are available as Universal Binaries, meaning they can run natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

However, there is currently a bug affecting one of the oscillators in the native Apple Silicon versions. For this reason, we recommend running the Intel versions under Rosetta on Apple Silicon Macs to ensure the instruments sound correct.

Format-specific notes:

  • AAX: Available as Intel only, and will always require Rosetta. This will not change.

  • AU: Universal Binary. In theory, it can be loaded in Pro Tools via a third-party wrapper (e.g. Metaplugin, Blue Cat PatchWork), though this has not been officially tested.
